Good point and should be the topic of another essay. Off the top of my head though, when resource grab becomes obvious, intellectual property will be as hard to protect as real property such as off-shore funds (as Russian and Iran have found out) If we can confiscate their foreign assets at the point of a gun, how will we defend the confiscation of out intellectual property?
