"Private investments targeting market-rate returns" means we will continue to believe in the magic of the "free-markets" that has incinerated the planet to somehow save the said planet while saving capitalists at the same time, and oh grow exponentially while we are at it too.
More growth requires more energy. "impact-minded " and "return maximizing investors" is just gobbledygook to collect more money from "investors" whose primary objective is to MAKE MORE MONEY by pretending to save the planet.
Those who think they can give more of their wealth to capitalists to save themselves, will lose both their wealth and their souls, as they well should.
Investing in growth got us into this mess, investing in more "market-rate" growth will lead to the death of millions.
