Right now we call it "supply chain" problems. Soon we will be calling it "discontinuity". The human race is in serious overshoot and as with any species that surpasses the carrying capacity of its environment, we will crash. Discontinuity in this context is the loss of predictive ability of populations that are dependent on the supporting institutions of their society for ordely conduct of their daily lives.
