Russel, 1st, hitting the fossil fuel wall in 50 years as opposed to 25 is no great "win" for humanity, and burning fossil fuels unabated for 50 years will surely cook the planet.
2nd- "unproven and undiscovered reserves" equates to magical thinking just like
"the lithium shortage is with present technology". Yes we know. Present reality is what we have to deal with.
.. and I don't know how the toxic carbon footprint of solar and wind is "being solved", but I'd be interested to find out if you can cite some studies.
However the bottom line is thermodynamics is a bastard and growing our consumption exponentially using fairy tales and pixie dust is not possible unless we find an energy source that defies the laws of thermodynamics and can be implemented in defiance of our political realities in 20 or 30 years.
