The information in this piece is great and not fully contemplated or realized by many, unfortunately. Our "normalcy bias", especially in the affluent west, is blinding us to the coming shortages.

Adding to the problem of draught in the North American west, the production failures in Ukraine and the halting of Russian fertilizer due to war are about to make things really tough, food security wise.

Many of the other producers of grains and soy are either stopping or curbing exports while China has been stockpiling grain all last year.

Argentina stopped soy exports. Moldova, Serbia, Hungary stopped grain exports. Indonesia palm oil exports to keep local prices down.

Time to start a depression era Victory garden.
