The National "Security" apparatus of the US published it's climate assessment report in October, which I just wrote a Medium article about. It is brief and to the point and contains this line " The current trajectory of growing global CO2 emissions would cause global temperatures—at 1.1 ̊C over pre-industrial levels now—to add 0.4 ̊C and cross the 1.5 ̊C threshold by about 2030, according to modeling from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and surpass 2 ̊C by around mid-century. Many of the physical effects are projected to increase in intensity, frequency, and speed." I enjoy your writing, thank you.
