The one thing I agree with in your response is the conflation of Capitalism (controlling the means of production and the distribution of profits) with greed.

To be sure there are greedy people all over. The thing you are missing is that not all people are greedy and communities of people can, and have across millennia controlled personal greed for the benefit of the community and yes, there are societies in the world that still do. (and please no what-aboutism about China or Russia - those are so obviously not what I'm talking about)

As the saying goes " If a monkey hoarded more bananas than it could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved, scientists would study that monkey to figure out what the heck was wrong with it. When humans do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes." And in the good old U.S of A. we defend the greedy monkeys with guns, the lives of other poor monkeys and all the monkey's tax dollars.
