This is a war to divide up the dwindling resources on the planet. It will not end well for many.

"Looking at the war in Ukraine and any future potential conflicts through the lens of the 20th Century Cold War is misguided at best.

The war and the enfolding human misery has little to do with Putin’s narcissism or Biden’s senility. Both could disappear in a puff of smoke at midnight and the world would still face the same problem.

As a result of our primary predicament, which is ecological overshoot, we are on the cusp of realizing that we humans have depleted the one energy source that has enabled that overshoot and has made possible all the technological wizardry and war on display today, oil and more recently gas. And we need to divide it up.

And that is a problem. A big one."

After 20 years in finance I realized it was all a lie. Now I'm trying to figure out what 'it' is. Human being tired of being lied to.
